About British Columbia

About British Columbia

GoHealth BC currently supports 29 rural and remote communities all over the province. British Columbia (BC) is the westernmost province of Canada situated in the Pacific Northwest between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. BC has a population of approximately 5 million, making it Canada’s third-most populous province after Ontario and Quebec. About half of all British Columbians live in the Metro Vancouver Regional District.

The province has a diverse geography of rugged landscapes such as rocky coastlines, sandy beaches, forests, lakes, mountains, inland deserts, and grassy plains. BC contains seven of Canada’s national parks and many provincial parks. Whether you’re interested in relaxation or adventure, BC is full of unforgettable experiences like whale watching on Vancouver Island, wine tasting in the Okanagan Valley, and many other amazing opportunities for outdoor adventures.
